Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) exit level tests.
For the March 2013 administrations of the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) exit level tests, all registration for out-of-school examinees will be online only. TAKS examinees (including former TAAS and TEAMS examinees) must register online at http://www.TexasAssessment.com/taksoos. Registration for the March exit level tests opens December 3, 2012, and ends January 18, 2013, at 5:00 PM (CT). Examinees can continue to register at a participating campus on the day of testing, if the campus can accommodate them. District personnel will then be responsible for entering the registration information online. The March 2013 TAKS exit level tests will be administered on March 4, 2013 (English language arts); March 5, 2013 (mathematics); March 6, 2013 (science); and March 7, 2013 (social studies). A list of participating campuses can be found at http://www.TexasAssessment.com/oosTestSites.
Since the TAAS tests are no longer being administered, former TAAS examinees (including former TEAMS examinees) will take the appropriate part of the TAKS exit level English language arts and/or mathematics test(s). The administration of the TAKS retests for former TAAS examinees will be March 4, 2013 (English language arts writing); March 5, 2013 (mathematics); and March 6, 2013 (English language arts reading). TAKS scores will be matched to the appropriate TAAS passing standard.
On the day(s) of testing, examinees should arrive at the test site 30 minutes before the designated testing time. Examinees must present picture identification, such as a driver's license, DPS ID, military ID, school ID, or resident alien card to test. Examinees will not be allowed to take the test(s) without a picture ID.
