For the October 2012 administrations of the TAKS exit level tests, all registration for out-of-school examinees will be online only. TAKS examinees (including former TAAS and TEAMS examinees) must register online at http://www.TexasAssessment.com/taksoos. Registration for the October exit level tests opens August 6, 2012 and ends September 17, 2012 at 5:00 PM (CT). Examinees can continue to register at a participating campus on the day of testing, if the campus can accommodate them. District personnel will then be responsible for entering the registration information online. The TAKS exit level tests will be administered on October 22, 2012 (English language arts); October 23, 2012 (mathematics); October 24, 2012 (science); and October 25, 2012 (social studies). A list of participating campuses can be found at http://www.TexasAssessment.com/oosTestSites.
Since the TAAS tests are no longer being administered, former TAAS examinees (including former TEAMS examinees) will take the appropriate part of the TAKS exit level English language arts and/or mathematics test(s). The next administration of the TAKS retests for former TAAS examinees will be October 22, 2012 (English language arts writing); October 23, 2012 (mathematics); and October 24, 2012 (English language arts reading). TAKS scores will be matched to the appropriate TAAS passing standard.
On the day(s) of testing, examinees should arrive at the test site 30 minutes before the designated testing time. Examinees must present picture identification, such as a driver's license, DPS ID, military ID, school ID, or resident alien card to test. Examinees will not be allowed to take the test(s) without a picture ID.
